Water Tanks for Faster, Local Fire Management

4 Tanks. 20,000 Gallons.

Where will water come from when there is a fire in Manton? MFSC has secured a total of 4 tanks, each holding 5,000 gallons. Two tanks are located at Hazen & Manton School Roads, as well as two more at Rock Creek & Woodcutter's Way. Fire crews will have easy access to this resource year-round.

Thank You, Donors and Volunteers.

Manton’s four water tanks were made possible by two generous grants as well as the time, energy and expertise of many local residents who cleared land, build foundations, installed the tanks, and filled them with non-potable water.

Keeping our water tanks safe is incredibly important for our community. We encourage all Manton residents to watch over our tanks and report any suspicious or unauthorized activity to MFSC. A stray bullet or any form of vandalism could have dire consequences for us all if water is not available in an emergency. We thank the community in advance for helping protect this valuable resource.
